Update: The vet just called and Princess did not make it.
It has been a long night as I wait for a call from vet. I know that she is a sick bunny and will probaby not make it. It appears that her kidneys are shutting down for some unknown reason, she is only 2 years old this month. I am praying for the words to share the news with the girls. As I think back over her short life, I wanted to post my favorite things about her.
1. She was our first bunny.
2. She was sooooo soft. I always loved to see peoples faces when they would pet her.
3. She was our first pet to have babies. It was unexpected and turned out to be an awesome experience. Her and I were pregnant together, I felt her pain during her way too long labor. She was too young to have babies and it was difficult for her.
4. She always came to greet you when you came near her play area. She would always run to the fence and hope for pet.
5. She had the cutest happy bunny dance. She would just hop around and fly into the air like she had springs on her feet.
6. She was a beautiful rabbit and such a Princess. She had such beautiful, big eyes. She was the neediest of all our rabbits, needing lots of love and attention.
7. She had personality. She could be so sweet, but when she was in a mood, she would grunt at you. This would mainly happen when she wanted to tell R~ that she no longer when to practice the showmanship routine.
8. She was always so gentle with the baby. She would put up with little R~ "petting" her and then she would just back away from the fence when she had had enough.
She will always be a happy memory for me. Although she is H~'s bunny, it will be hard on both of the girls. She was R~'s showmanship bunny until she bought PJ. Princess and R~ became quite a team earning 2nd place at a big show. I am concerned how Lucky (her son) will take Princess' absence since they have always lived together.
It always amazes me how these little creatures can crawl right into your heart!
